The 21ST March is recognized as the International Day of Forests. This serves to celebrate and remind us of the importance of all types of forests and how critical it is to preserve them.
However, Hanya believes that this mindset should be incorporated in all of our everyday lives, and we must strive to contribute what we can, even in small ways.
So what is Hanya doing?
Hanya is always looking to incorporate sustainable products to use in our range. One of the materials we are really fond of is LENZING™ ECOVERO™.
It is a fabric that is woven using fibers from renewable raw material wood, sourced from sustainably managed forests certified by FSC® or PEFC™. These forests are managed to comply with high environmental standards and follows ecologically responsible production process.
We love that in comparison with a generic viscose, the production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ has a substantially smaller environmental footprint.
The material itself is composed of cellulose fibers, which are biodegradable and compostable.
Our Arka Bandeau is currently made using this fabric, and we can confirm that the material is super comfortable and has a really high quality stretch.
We are looking forward to experiment with more responsibly sourced materials, so you can look good and feel good as well.
